Certified Friable Asbestos Pipe Disposal in Southern California’s

According to AQMD Rule 1403, friable asbestos-containing material (ACM) must be disposed of in a landfill that is specifically permitted to accept asbestos waste. Ewaste Disposal Inc. is a licensed asbestos waste disposal transporter in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD). They are permitted to dispose friable ACM from demolition and renovation projects.

To dispose of friable ACM at Ewaste Disposal Inc., you will need to:

Submit a notification to the AQMD at least 10 working days (or 14 calendar days) prior to the disposal.
Pack the ACM in leak-proof containers that are labeled as hazardous waste.
Transport the ACM by Ewaste Disposal Inc.
Inspect the ACM for leaks and damage before disposal.
Ewaste Disposal Inc. will then properly dispose of the ACM in accordance with all applicable regulations.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when disposing of friable ACM:

You should never dispose of friable ACM in a regular landfill or incinerator.
You should always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling friable ACM, including a respirator, gloves, and long sleeves.
You should never sweep or vacuum friable ACM, as this can release harmful fibers into the air.
If you have any questions about disposing of friable ACM, you should contact Ewaste Disposal Inc. 949-466-885 or the AQMD.

I hope this helps!
